Director of corporate communications at Disney Branded Television
HER WORK: “I have the privilege of helping shape the narratives that support Disney’s kids’ and family entertainment businesses. My work spans media strategy, executive messaging, issues management, employee engagement, and the storytelling that brings our business priorities to life. Over more than a decade at Disney in communications roles across entertainment, corporate, consumer products, games, and publishing divisions, I’ve supported the company through major creative launches, cultural moments, and periods of significant change. What feels most meaningful to me is knowing that I’m contributing to a storytelling legacy that has shaped childhoods for generations – and that I get to play a small part in the stories that spark imagination and connection for kids and families around the world.”
AT DUKE: “When I arrived at Duke, I was a biology major planning to become a veterinarian, but I quickly found myself more energized by classes in film studies, psychology, journalism and English. I’m grateful that Duke made it so easy to pivot, because once I was taking the classes I genuinely loved – from “Film Noir” and “Existentialist Cinema” to “The Novel, Live!” – I realized how much I enjoyed understanding audiences, analyzing storytelling, and writing with clarity and purpose, and that I wanted to bring those skills to whatever I did after graduation.”
RISK AND REWARD: “A big reason I’m where I am today is that I’ve said yes to new opportunities, even when they felt unfamiliar or daunting.”
